No I'm not talking about a drink... I'm talking about Chemo... Seems like this is all I post about doesn't it...
Well it's our life right now, and the blog is "Life with BS" so I guess this is what you get...
Brian is doing pretty good this round. He "forgot" to take his evening dose of chemo 2 nights. So we just have to move past that. For the most part he is just tired, but doing well overall. Today is day 6 in the 14 day regimen. All seems well on the forefront with this round of chemo. You just never know what could sneak up on you...
So how about something not cancer related.... I surprised Brian by actually being spontaneous for a change. Let me explain for those with dirty minds...
Last night I passed out (it was a hard day at work) on the couch and Brian came in and walked me to bed. Well around 2 am I woke up and he wasn't there yet. So I hollered out to him and he came to bed... BUT... I wasn't tired anymore I had had plenty O' sleep between the couch and the bed. So I said let's go to the beach... He didn't think I was serious but I was. We talked about it for a while cuz he really didn't think I was serious. I'm just not like that but I couldn't sleep and I'm not going to get up at 2 am and vacuum.
So.. At 4am this morning Brian, Charlie, and I headed off to the beach. We took the camera but there wasn't much to take pictures of so we didn't. It was very relaxing and peaceful no kids, no burning hot sun, and the sound of the waves without the kids and the sun... There's just nothing like it. I wish I could record it cuz the beach is 35 miles away... LONG drive at 4 am. We stayed longer than usual most likely due to the fact that there was no sun, kids, or other distractions. It was great!!
On the way home we were so hungry and I wasn't cooking eggs in a basket when I got home so we stopped and had breakfast at Cracker Barrel. It was really fun and totally out of the norm for us....
Sometimes you have to do things to get your mind off the cancer. I need to remember that and do it more often.
Love to all!!
It sure has been a while

That sounds like a lot of fun. We all get caught up in the day to day things sometimes, whether its kids, or work, or all of our many other distractions. I know that mom's biggest piece of advice to us when we got married was to be spontaneous, and we have always tried to remember it.
Im so glad you had fun. Its always a good thing to do something unexpected. We love you and miss you.
