Brian and I set out on Saturday September 20th to take some pictures of spiders that reside on A1A near St. Augustine. Unfortunately there was a lot of traffic and no where to pull over to get the pictures. So in lieu of spiders we took pictures of the waves. These pictures are taken at the same place we spent an afternoon with Brian's Mom, Grandma, Brother, and Nephew, and My Mom, Brother, Sister in law, Nephew and Niece. However the water was much higher at this beach when Brian and I took these pictures than it was the day we sat under the umbrella just hanging out.
We were sitting where the birds, and the sea weed are in these pictures. The water was really up this day.
I had been thinking of cutting my hair again, and finally did it on the same Saturday. Here is the first picture Brian could get me to pose for. It's not a good picture the wind is blowing, but you can see how short it is now.
After we took these pictures we set off down A1A headed for Kennedy space center. We knew we weren't going to make it there in time to see anything but it was a nice drive. On the way there we found Flagler Beach. My friend Alyce has told me this is her favorite beach in Florida, and has asked me on numerous occasions (that is when we have a chance to talk) if I have been to Flagler Beach yet. Well now I can tell her I have and I have pictures to prove it. This is a cute little town, and I would love to go spend a day there. The weather on this Saturday was crazy. We drove through many puddles but I didn't get any pictures of those.
No Saturday drive would be complete without Charlie, and he actually sat still long enough for a photo.
Ok so a little further down the road just south of Daytona we found a lighthouse. This is the Ponce De Leon Inlet Lighthouse. We stopped to take a few pictures from the grounds...
We hadn't intended on going in, just taking some pictures from the parking lot but Brian had to go.. So in he went, and found out they were allowing Florida residents free access to the grounds and lighthouse so we took advantage.
The view from the top. There were 203 steps to get to the top of this lighthouse. Which is 16 steps fewer than the St. Augustine Lighthouse. I have climbed that one also. However, that was before Brian moved to Florida. He and I will go there again some day, and climb it together. I'll post those pictures too.
And now the reason for the title of this post~!
I thought 7 Eleven's were everywhere. To be found in every city. They are like a staple to me. I found out I was wrong when I moved to Jacksonville. There are NO 7 Elevens here. That's not to say they aren't in Florida. Just not in Jacksonville.
I love Nacho's from 7 Eleven and nothing else compares. I can't just go to the corner station and get my fix. They just don't cut it.
I knew there were 7 Eleven's in Daytona and Titusville. It was so funny when we were driving and I saw the first one. I said look look look it's 7 Eleven. And every time I saw one for the rest of the day I said there's another one. You know they were on just about every corner just like I remember them from home.
So anyway like I said I love 7 Eleven Nacho's and the closes one to me is 90 miles away. You would think I would have purchased some Nacho's this day... But I didn't I was too full from dinner. So I opted for a few pictures and here they are...
It sure has been a while
